Christopher Ash
Christopher Ash has practiced Buddhism since 1969. In 2002, he was appointed a teacher in the lineage of Buddhadasa by Subhana Barzaghi and Christopher Titmuss. He has also trained in the Diamond Sangha lineage of Zen Buddhism, as well as with various Tibetan teachers.
Christopher has been teaching with Blue Gum for more than twenty years, focusing on the process-oriented nature of the Buddha’s original teachings. He studies the teachings through Pali, one of the early languages of Buddhism, and he emphasizes the Buddha’s instructions on mindfulness of the body.
With the death of his partner Joyce Kornblatt, Christopher has become the principal teacher of Cloud Refuge, an online sangha. He is also a psychotherapist (retired), and a trainer of Eugene T. Gendlin’s Focusing; and he leads groups reading in Gendlin’s works which present the Philosophy of the Implicit.
